Newsletter Vol.4
As the charity approaches its 1st anniversary in December, we thought it is a suitable time to update everyone on the help and support that has been provided to the communities that we operate in and take this opportunity to thank everyone for their support, generosity and commitment!
Set up during the height of the pandemic, we mobilised ourselves to support the
communities we grew up in. We could not help first-hand by being there, but with our fantastic network of volunteers and our relentless commitment to help families in need, we persevered to provide over 310 emergency food parcels in the last 12 months.
On this journey, there are no quick fixes but we are doing our level best to providing interim relief to the families we support. We are working very hard to establish ourselves as a pillar within the communities. This is a long road, but we are very optimistic. Our mission is to continue to provide help and support to families and to look for solutions to improve their lives, providing a future that is much brighter.
We thank all those who have been part of the journey so far!
With best wishes and immense gratitude,
From all the team here in the UK and Namibia.
Ambassadors for Good- making a difference in our communities!
Ambassadors for Good (AfG) is an employee volunteering programme that gives Anglo American and De Beers Group employees the chance to use their skills to help their communities and good causes that they really care about, backed by funding from the Anglo American Foundation.
The launch event in June 2021 saw ambassadors and their partner organisations come together to find out more about what to expect from the programme and get ready to begin implementing their projects. This year in the UK, there are 41 employees supporting 16 projects and we are immensely proud and very excited to announce that Help4Nam has been selected to be part of this empowering programme! This will allow our trustees to learn and further develop their skills and enable us to continue to help vulnerable communities in need in Namibia.
